Mālama Kalo Dining Placemat Set (2 Placemats)
NOHO HOME X Hawaiʻi Food and Wine Festival
Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that benefits local ‘āina-based and community organizations committed to culinary and agricultural education, sustainability, and cultural programs in Hawai‘i.
NOHO HOME by Jalene Kanani is proud to partner with Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival® (HFWF) to celebrate the deep connection and aloha we have for our beloved Kalo, Hāloanakalaukapalili. This custom print, Mālama Kalo, was designed exclusively for HFWFʻs Kalo – Nourishing Hawaiʻi and Sharing It with the World initiative in collaboration with Hawaiʻi Executive Collaborative and Kamehameha Schools to bring together those who come from—Kanaka, those who care for—Mahiʻai and those who feed us—mea hānai, in this wahi pana for food and fellowship. A percentage of proceeds from sales of the Mālama Kalo print will be donated to Hawaiʻi Food & Wine Festival to benefit local ‘āina-based and community organizations committed to culinary and agricultural education, sustainability, and cultural programs in Hawai‘i.
An artful piece—depicting the kalo, ʻohā, lau, hā and the loʻi in which it grows—is imbued with our values and intentions for sustainable growth and sharing.
