The ʻAkahi green dining placemat set brings a rich cultural tradition to your dining experience. Inspired by Hawaiian barkcloth, these placemats feature a modern interpretation of traditional kapa designs, blending heritage with contemporary style. Furthermore, the design captures the primal connection shared by first nations' cultures, creating a piece that is both meaningful and visually striking.

ʻAkahi was inspired by the Hawaiian barkcloth tradition of handmade kapa which is adorned with patterns created by ʻohe kāpala (bamboo stamps). The initial markings of this foundational print were graphically reinterpreted to evoke the essence of traditional kapa designs.
